Rugged Ridge designed it to protect both the engine and transmission on Dana 30 and Dana 44 equipped 12-13 Jeep Wrangler. This skid plate is a must for those who want that extra protection on their off road adventures. Made of 3/17 inch powder coated steel with rust resistant E-Coating, this skid plate is designed to take whatever the trail throws at you! Bolt-on installation using existing frame mounting locations. 2.5 inch or more of lift required to prevent drive shaft rubbing.
